Artificial Grass with Shock Pads
Artificial Grass with Shock Pads
Suitable for all year round use, this surface is all-weather, extremely durable and can be laid on slopes. Ideal for high wear areas, artificial grass copes well with heavy traffic. A shock pad layer may be used underneath the grass to give added protection and provide a soft landing for a fall.
There are many different types of artificial grass, such as 'school grade' which is designed with a short, tough bristle for heavy footfall and play. Then there are hyper-realistic grasses which can work brilliantly where the 'design and style' of the garden is paramount. Longer, soft grasses are particularly good for sensory gardens where touch and feel are important.
What makes Artificial Grass a good choice?
Artifical Grass provides a soft, porous and hygenic solution for school playgrounds and nurseries. The layered system consists of impact mats or 'shock pads', covered with artificial grass ensuring that the surface complies with the relevant Critical Fall Heights. It is made from high quality polyethylene foam with closed cell foam.

Critical Fall Heights
Most in-ground trampolines have a maximum critical fall height. (The highest height you can potentially fall from/jump as high as). This chart shows the recommended shock pad thickness required for some common critical fall heights.
